Responsibilities
- Assists MIUSA staff to ensure successful management of program logistics, including meals, lodging, ground transportation, and program activities, to ensure health, safety, well-being and inclusion of all participants.
- Safely drives personal vehicle to transport program equipment or materials
- Communicates with host families, international development professionals and other community members regarding MIUSA programs and participants.
Requirements
- Clear Criminal and Driver background check, run and paid by MIUSA
- Qualified and able to drive personal vehicle
- Two years college or equivalent; B.A. or B.S. preferred, in international development, disability studies, women’s studies, or related field
- Understanding of inclusion of people with disabilities from a human rights perspective;
- Ability to communicate effectively via e-mail, telephone, VRS, IM and other media
