Where:  Eugene, Oregon.  In-person program.

Who/What:  Mobility International USA (MIUSA) www.miusa.org hosting women leaders with disabilities from around the world for the 11th International Women’s Institute on Leadership and Disability (WILD).

Position: Temporary, Full Time, Non-Exempt, Limited Duration Position.  Includes weekday, evenings and weekends. Equal Opportunity Employer. People with disabilities, those from diverse minority backgrounds, and others are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assists MIUSA staff to ensure successful management of program logistics, including meals, lodging, ground transportation, and program activities, to ensure health, safety, well-being and inclusion of all participants.
  • Safely drives personal vehicle to transport program equipment or materials
  • Communicates with host families, international development professionals and other community members regarding MIUSA programs and participants.

Requirements

  • Clear Criminal and Driver background check, run and paid by MIUSA
  • Qualified and able to drive personal vehicle
  • Two years college or equivalent; B.A. or B.S. preferred, in international development, disability studies, women’s studies, or related field
  • Understanding of inclusion of people with disabilities from a human rights perspective;
  • Ability to communicate effectively via e-mail, telephone, VRS, IM and other media
