Mobility International USA is honored to be selected as the winner of PR Daily Nonprofit PR Award for "Best Website".
Mobility International USA developed a website that not only motivates people with disabilities (and their families) to take advantage of life’s opportunities, but also provides easily-accessible resources to help them get started.
Ragan and PR Daily runs 12 awards programs each year, including the prestigious Digital PR & Social Media Awards, PR Daily Awards, Employee Communications Awards and Video Awards. Judged by globally regarded experts and featuring multiple categories, these programs honor the top work in communications, PR, marketing and media.
MIUSA was chosen from a wide pool of submissions to receive the honor of "Best Website" for its ingenuity and impact including the Global Disability Rights Now! website dedicated to advancing disability rights globally.
The work on the MIUSA site has paid off, with more than 116,000 visits in 2015. Eighty-two percent of the visitors were new to the site, and the number of mobile visitors tripled from 2010. Individual feedback has also been overwhelmingly positive. The sites are responsively designed and made accessible for a cross-disability audience.
In order to reach people with all types of disabilities, all over the world, creating an accessible website is key to achieve our mission in "advancing leadership and disability rights globally"SM. And we are honored to be recognized for this achievement and hope it can serve as a catalyst for more organizations and companies when designing their website.
